Biography

Sotiris Sotiriou has engineering experience in a wide variety of building types and sizes. Design and construction of high-rise, tensile, commercial and residential structures, made of any kind of structural material. Registered professional engineer in Cyprus involved in many structural projects, as designer or consultant, around Europe and U.S.

Development of numerous engineering software for  analysis and design. Development of CableNL, a program that use the cable-net method with geometric nonlinearity to analyze tensile structures of cables fabric or glass. Development of RATe a software that performs   material nonlinear analysis in order to define the behavior of existing concrete structures.

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Patras University and  master’s degree in structures and material engineering from NYU Polytechnic University, New York.
